Subject Test Port
Over the past three weeks a pretty extensive amount of work has been done and quite a bit has been added to the test port. I believe we have about 6-10 people on the test port, and so far the people testing each change seems to be the exact same crowd. If you're on the test port and no longer interested in helping, please send a note to imm so we can have you removed from the port. The purpose of the test port is for players (hopefully with some amount of experience) to provide feedback on the changes so that we can gauge whether or not the change should continue onto the main port. Having active player testers helps alleviate incessant complaining once a change goes "live", stops us from having to make major changes after something has gone "live", and also hopefully helps find bugs. It's not just about looking for boring ways to crash the MUD. We could use a few more active testers, so if you're interested, please send a note to imm on the personal board. We're no longer only considering players with several of experience and a level 97 character. If you've been around for a couple of months and think you are familiar enough with the MUD to provide feedback, we're interested in having you. There is no real reward for being on the test port, other than the fact that you can say you contributed to the balance and development of the game. Essentially we all want Aarchon to be an awesome place, and the more feedback we have, the better, right? Current testers - If you can't be bothered to spend a little bit of time over there over the next week and provide some feedback, you will likely be gone from the port.
