| I am just throwing this out there as I have not played a Monk for the most part. But do they have a stance category or series of stances that might allow them to draw hp/mana/move in a similar manner as weapons of the proper types? If not it would be a nice addition to maybe add an important one like move to their abilities. They have the mystical means so I would not see it as a stretch. Just a thought after Corynn's note.
